She was also featured as a soloist on several music projects including, “Worship At The Word,” The Word Church in Cleveland, OH; HubbardBrother Family and Friends; in addition to touring in Europe with the “Golden Gospel Singers,” and Cairo, Egypt with the Wilberforce University Concert Choir.Though her music base was groomed in the church, Vikki honed her craft at the Cleveland School of the Arts where she studied under Vocal Director, Dr. William Woods.After graduating from high school, Vikki enrolled as a student at Wilberforce University where she joined and sang in theUniversity Concert Choir under the direction of James Arthur Williams. There she traveled across the globe while also having a chance to meet and record with the late Ray Charles. She later toured and sang with Cleveland State University’sConcert Choir.Vikki’s singing style is inspired and shaped by the example of her parents, the late Bishop Robert and Virginia Hubbard and the late Barbara Gulley Collier.Most recently, Vikki traveled to Bloemfontein, South Africa and several other countries ministering in song to the people of God.She has been the worship leader for the past four years at Good Shephard Baptist Church located in Cleveland, OH. VikkiBarnes will release her debut album entitled, “You Are Good” in the Spring of 2021. This project is power packed and produced by her husband, Walter Barnes, Jr. of Barnyard Records, LLC. Vikki strives to set a positive example for others to emulate and believes that all things work together for the good of them that love God.
